The bad news is that chemical dependency is unquestionably one of the most wide-spread and devastating health problems in the United States. The toll experienced by individuals and families, as well as legal, financial and emotional problems is immense. The good news is that help is just a call away.

The ROAD (Raft Outpatient Addiction Department) Program services adult patients ages 18 and over with the following programs and services:

  • Individualized Treatment Planning
  • Bio-Psychosocial Assessment
  • Therapy (Individual, Group and Family)
  • Tandom Toxicology Screenings
  • Psychiatric Evaluation
  • Parenting Skills
  • Pre-Vocational Services
  • Annual Nursing Health Assessment

Patients are treated by a multi-disciplinary staff consisting of psychiatrists, therapists, substance abuse counselors, social workers and nurses who provide consistent compassionate care.

Through ongoing counseling and relapse prevention each patient collaborates with his/her treating counselor in addressing their individualized needs and in overcoming their addiction. Additionally, patients attending the partial hospital program receive treatment for 5 hours per day for 5-days a week, where they can participate in group and individual counseling services ranging from psychoeducation, relapse prevention, psychosocial, to 12-step sessions.

Positive change is most often initiated and perpetuated through the family, which is why the ROAD encourages parents and other adults to be involved in family therapy sessions. All children and families are empowered to become aware of their needs and how to address each of these needs and preferences. Through ongoing counseling and as needed medication monitoring each child and family collaborates with his/her treating psychiatric physician and psychotherapist in addressing their individualized needs and in achieving emotional wellness and recovery.
