The Respiratory Care Unit is located on the 5th floor of the main hospital building where a team of credentialed, specially trained Respiratory Care practitioners deliver a variety of care under the direction of a physician to patients with cardio pulmonary disorders.

The Unit provides skillful and compassionate care for patients who are ventilator-dependent or have tracheotomies from complications such as respiratory failure, lung disease, chest injury, neurological disorders, multiple sclerosis, motor vehicle accidents and other conditions.

The Unit offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both in-patient and out-patient services. They include:

  • Pulmonary Function Test
  • Pre and post surgical Respiratory Care
  • Adult Mechanical Ventilation
  • Arterial Blood Gas Sampling
  • Noninvasive Positive Pressure Ventilation
  • Pneumogram Sleep screening
  • Airway Management/Intubation
  • Patient Education
  • Community Education
  • A variety of intermittent Bedside therapy
  • Code Team/Rapid Response Team Member

Hours of Operations:

The Pulmonary Function Testing Laboratory operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
