Major Gifts will always be an integral part in providing state of the art technology
and excellence in service and equipment for healthcare in our community. In the
past, Major Gifts have funded the construction of rooms or buildings, helped renovate
units, and have gone towards new equipment to ensure that all of our facilities
are both efficient and comfortable for patients and medical staff.
Periodically, major capital campaigns are planned to meet changes and needs. Many
people can avoid capital gains tax on appreciated stocks and other securities by
donating them to the Foundation for East Orange General. Major gifts frequently
provide opportunities for name recognition of a family or individual for a specific
area within the hospital.
