The Clinical Laboratory at East Orange General Hospital enhances patient comfort
and convenience by bringing state-of-the-art collection procedures to out-patient
settings, as well as, traditional hospital settings. Under the direction of a Medical
Director, who is Board certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology, and a team
of highly-trained and certified professionals utilize a vast pool of knowledge and
experience to bring quality care to all patients.
The Clinical Laboratory provides the following services:
- Chemistry
- Hematology
- Microbiology
- Blood Bank
- Pathology
- Cytology
The Laboratory is outstanding in Quality Assurance and is fully accredited by JCAHO,
AABB and the NJ department of Health.
Hours of Operations:
The Clinical Laboratory has two convenient locations for blood/specimen collection:
The out-patient collection service is located on the Ground Floor of the Main Hospital,
next to radiology, allowing easy access to all the support services that the hospital
provides. The main laboratory is located in the Medical Arts Building. The Clinical
Laboratory offers services to out-patients Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.
to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
