The Cardiology Department provides services for the diagnosis and monitoring of
heart disease, on both an inpatient and an outpatient basis. The department's Cardiology
Laboratory is equipped with the latest medical technology.
All of these tests are considered "non-invasive," which means that no surgery is
performed and no catheters (tubes) are introduced into the veins. Rather, heart
specialists use electrodes (patches) and probes on the skin to collect and to evaluate
data about the condition and functioning of the heart.
